Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were plenty of chairs and tables by the bonfire, and some further out on the lawn for anyone who might want to enjoy their food alone, or just gaze at the new folks and try to figure them out. All of these potential activities were valid!

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

As if he weren't still completely smitten by Verity. Shhh.

"It would be very easy for me to be completely ridiculous about him and I'm trying to spare my friends that," she said. Also she was still figuring out the rules of what she shared, but she was doing that on a case by case basis.

"I'm pretty sure I was off-the-charts ridiculous when Verity and I first got serious," Liam pointed out. "So turnabout would be fair play, really."

Though he wasn't going to ask if any of his warnings about sex and potential awkwardness had come true. He loved you dearly Rey, but he did not need those details.

"It's good," she said after a moment. "We're official, I guess. And he's already met Master Skywalker, and some people from home."

"Ooh, that is official," Liam said. "Your whole face just- lit up when you started talking about him, you know?" he pointed out. "I'm glad. You deserve that."

"Thanks," she said. "I'm pretty happy right now."

Which was weird for her. She had moments of it over the last couple years, but this was consistent.

Which was one of the many, many reasons she deserved that aforementioned consistent happiness.

"The two of you should come over for dinner sometime," he said. "You do still need to meet the mice, after all."

"Excellent," Liam said. "And if he says yes- let me know if there's anything he doesn't like to eat in particular? Same goes for you, for that matter."

Though he suspected Rey's answer would be along the lines that she'd eat pretty much whatever.
