Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were plenty of chairs and tables by the bonfire, and some further out on the lawn for anyone who might want to enjoy their food alone, or just gaze at the new folks and try to figure them out. All of these potential activities were valid!

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"Oh, I found out I'm teaching - alone, not on a team - about an hour ago," Annie shared, raising her brows good-naturedly. "So, like...surpriiiiise. At least I'm assuming you knew about this before you came here?"

"Yeah," Miguel said. "It's roped me into things before too, though. I wound up teaching 'Mad Science' one semester. What are you teaching?"

"Intro to Performing Arts," Annie told him, "which at least is something I think I can handle."

Though it wasn't like she was going to be able to get up there and perform Shakespeare so...maybe she wasn't an expert on all of the arts.

"Yeah?" Miguel cocked his head at her. "Have you done acting or what?"

"Promise not to laugh," Annie warned him with a sigh, "but I'm a pageant winner about three dozen times over. So - singing, tap-dancing...juggling...." She shrugged, waving a hand. "Acting is actually like the one thing not really in my wheelhouse."

A pause, and, "Probably a good thing they didn't give me the science class, now that I'm thinking of it."

"Huh. That's your real life when you're not heroing?" he assumed.

He swallowed down a sarcastic remark, because he actually liked Annie. "Yeah, good thing they didn't give me the performing arts. I can't tap-dance for shit."
