Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II
There were plenty of chairs and tables by the bonfire, and some further out on the lawn for anyone who might want to enjoy their food alone, or just gaze at the new folks and try to figure them out. All of these potential activities were valid!
[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Re: General Mingling [Spring 2021]
Ghosts, in her experience, could do pretty much anything.

"Not magic," he grumbled. Belle, you were the worst. "Does the Umbrella Academy mean anything to you?"
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2021]
"Should it?" She kind of felt bad, because it really didn't ring a bell but maybe it was a book she hadn't read, or a movie she hadn't seen? It wasn't like Lydia got out much.

Re: General Mingling [Spring 2021]
It was a lot less morbid to just be born special, she supposed. "So you can teleport? Got any other tricks?"
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2021]
"A few," he agreed, squinting out at the crowd. "Let's just stick with the normal teleportation for now."
Wait, there was also crippling emotional issues! Those counted, right?
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2021]
"I think you're the weirdest person I've met so far." That was a compliment, Five! And she didn't even know your weird name, yet.
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2021]
Like the old man he was.
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2021]
Again, kind of said in an admiring way!
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2021]
"Less weird if you knew anything about my father," he replied dryly. "And yes, it's my actual name. My siblings all picked other ones to go by, but Five works fine for me."
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2021]
At least, she hadn't, not that she objected to it.
"My father's pretty bad but he's not that bad," she added. Just sort of...ineffective.
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2021]
And not just because Allison.
"Most people aren't adopted by a reclusive billionaire with delusions of grandeur."
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2021]
"That sounds like a book I'd read," she told him honestly. "You've got a bunch of siblings?"
She, naturally, was an only child. All the better to be endlessly lonely.
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2021]
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2021]
Way worse than the reclusive billionaire dad part.
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2021]
Sure. That made sense to people outside the canon.
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2021]
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2021]
But he had mixed feelings about that book still. It was good to have something to tell him what he missed out on, but also... yikes, Vanya.
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2021]
The way people could just purposely not see things killed her, a little.
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2021]
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2021]
It honest-to-goodness was kind of Lydia's gift. Just being observant.
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2021]
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2021]
Didn't look a lot like fighting crime, to her. No judgement, but just saying.
