Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Whatever aspect of the island made sure the weather was nice on picnic day didn't seem to be able to control the temperature. It wasn't freezing, but it would definitely more comfortable out on the lawn with a coat on. Thankfully, the conditions were just right for a bonfire in the center of the lawn, so people could gather and stay warm once they'd made their introductions.

Once the tables and chairs were set up and everything was properly glittered, all that was needed were people!

[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"Wei Wuxian," he corrects lightly. "Glitter, and other things. It's a very unusual place. People come from many different worlds and different times and many strange things happen. Do you know what classes you're taking?"

"Wei Wuxian," Belle amended. "What sorts of strange things happen? Should I be worried? I don't think I have a list of classes yet."

"Have you heard of dinosaurs?" Wei Wuxian asked. "One teacher had us turn into them for a lesson."

"Your teacher turned you into things?" That certainly qualified as strange. "Is he a wizard or a sorcerer?"

"A scientist," Wei Wuxian said. "It's sort of like a wizard or sorcerer, but they use a different kind of power. Most of the things here run on science. You'll get used to it."

"I hope so," Belle said. She'd been arguing about magic versus science earlier with that rude boy. She really hoped he wasn't going to turn out to have been correct about everything. "But he truly turned you into a creature?"

"Well, he turned other students into creatures. I took notes. That's part of science," he explained. Also part of demonic cultivation. It's a good thing no one was likely to read those detailed instructions for dark magic that he'd left back in his cave. Someone could do terrible things with that information.
