Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Whatever aspect of the island made sure the weather was nice on picnic day didn't seem to be able to control the temperature. It wasn't freezing, but it would definitely more comfortable out on the lawn with a coat on. Thankfully, the conditions were just right for a bonfire in the center of the lawn, so people could gather and stay warm once they'd made their introductions.

Once the tables and chairs were set up and everything was properly glittered, all that was needed were people!

[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Ghanima, too, was on that list of people from whom he'd gladly submit to one.

"Yes, well, it would not be Fandom if it did not try to kill us all two or three times a year in increasingly bizarre ways," she said fondly. "It was nothing that you couldn't handle, I'm sure."

"I think people are going to be eyeing the lead-up to Christmas with a lot more suspicion than usual, next year," Liam confessed.

"As they should. A man in an ugly red outfit who knows everything you've been doing and makes arbitrary judgements on your behaviour? Appalling," Ghanima said cheerfully. "If he's going to be judging everyone, he should at least be better dressed."

Look, you have your priorities, Ghanima was raised by Irulan Corrino-Atreides, and knew the value of fashion when getting away with murder.

"And I you," she replied. "I brought back presents, too, though they're back at my suite."

So many training drones that it wouldn't matter how many Liam broke during training, Bene Gesserit texts on processing and using the inner tau (that it was actually a little (lot) heretical that she was sharing them with a male), and knives for his Miss Verity, since it would be rude to not include her.

"Oh! Presents!" Liam's eyes went wide. "I got you something too, from Lowryland. Verity and I just got back from our anniversary trip," he explained, digging around in the bag he'd brought with him until he came up with a blue flower crown.
