Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Whatever aspect of the island made sure the weather was nice on picnic day didn't seem to be able to control the temperature. It wasn't freezing, but it would definitely more comfortable out on the lawn with a coat on. Thankfully, the conditions were just right for a bonfire in the center of the lawn, so people could gather and stay warm once they'd made their introductions.

Once the tables and chairs were set up and everything was properly glittered, all that was needed were people!

[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"Are you a student?" she asked, evenly.

"...that's not important." It was a yes.

She figured.

And answered as such. "Then you still get a school-assigned big sibling. Congratulations, I'm a good one."

"And what does that entail then?" he asked with a deeply annoyed sigh.

She might end up being more competent than his actual siblings, he knew?

"I get to tell you how weird this place is and help you settle in. If you're two decades older than me then you're off to a good start."

And the fact that she didn't question that should also say some things.

Five looked around for a moment. "Seems pretty normal so far."

SAID THE TIME TRAVELLING ASSASSIN.

"Would it be weird if I told you I'm from space?" She was actually thinking no.

"Moderately weird," he granted her, not showing any shock. And he didn't even know that his dad was a literal space alien yet!

"Okay, that's a good start," she said. "Let me expand on that to say there are several other people from my galaxy here from different timelines, which is a pretty common thing."

"And nothing happens with that?" Asking for a friend.

"What would happen with that?" Sabine had to check.

"Timeline corrections. Sabotage, assassinations..." You know. That sort of thing.

"Not to my knowledge. There may be cases here and there for people personally but I haven't heard of them."

This was a totally normal conversation.

Okay, maybe this wasn't too bad of a place to lay low then.

Five hummed and nodded like that was the best case scenario he could have heard. "Alright, what do I need to do here then?"

It had been decades since he had any schooling, okay? Also, Reginald's schooling was... unique.
