Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Whatever aspect of the island made sure the weather was nice on picnic day didn't seem to be able to control the temperature. It wasn't freezing, but it would definitely more comfortable out on the lawn with a coat on. Thankfully, the conditions were just right for a bonfire in the center of the lawn, so people could gather and stay warm once they'd made their introductions.

Once the tables and chairs were set up and everything was properly glittered, all that was needed were people!

[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

“As do I,” Enola said narrowing her eyes just a tad at Five. “I’m sure we can find a civil way to maintain that. As long as you are a gentleman. Perhaps a small barrier of sorts?”

Five's mouth drew into a thin, unhappy line. "Fine. It'll be doable for now."

He was going to end up in some sort of death battle with the moose.

Enola couldn’t help but roll her eyes at the response. Typical useless boys.

“I’m not particularly happy by it either. We can at least be polite about the situation.”

The moose would also be getting several polite letters from Enola. No doubt she and the moose would have a drastically different relationship.

“Fine. Is there something you wished to be called other than ‘Five’? Clearly you don’t care much for the name. Or at least the person who gave it to you.”

"My feelings about my father are separate from the name," Five replied imperiously. Very much, in fact, like his father would. "I didn't need a different name growing up and I don't need a new one now."

Which implied this was certainly a conversation that had happened a time or two before.

Enola nodded. After all her name wasn’t exactly normal either. “Very well, Five it is then. I look forward to a respectful... room sharing.”
