"Hey, everyone," said Summer, starting class with a faint grin on her face that she hoped, by now, would make anyone familiar with any of her classes a little worried for what was in store for them, but it wasn't that bad, she promised! Well, maybe for one of you...

"Since today's our last class," she continued, "and you all did a really good job, like, seriously, there were some serious efforts, and that's all I can ask for, but, anyway, it's the last class so I thought I'd do something a little special and bring in a surprise guest judge."

So surprise that even she didn't know it yet!

"Everyone, to your stations, and we'll reveal your ingredients and the mystery guest judge once you know what you're working with!"

Seivarden was going to judge the tea. And whoever made it accordingly.

Nell came up empty-handed. "M'sorry, but there was just no way I was bringing Seivarden anything I could have made with what I was given. I apologize, but I would've had to apologize a lot more to you'un if I'd brought you anything."

Smiling, Seivarden said: "I'm glad you stick to your high standards."

Nell smiled up at Seivarden. "If it had just been for she'un, I'da come up with somethin' that wasn't too terrible, 'cause it's for class, but there's no way I'da done that to you'un. You understand tea."

And she was pretty sure even the best combination of what they'd been given would've caused Seivarden at least mental anguish if nothing else.

That was definitely a compliment coming from a Radchaai.

Nell beamed and blushed at the same time. "My! Coming from you that's quite a compliment. I've been experimenting with some new teas. I can leave you'un a package at the store if you'd like."

Tahani was British and she didn't just carry around an expensive handbag to show off that she had an expensive handbag (though that was 60 percent of it): it was also to hold things.

Like a box of Darjeeling loose leaf tea. "Stale PG Tips for you?" she said, overcompensating as she poured decent, by God, smuggled tea for Seivarden.

Seivarden knew the scent of good tea. She took a sip, then said, in Summer's direction: "Do you know how terrible this is?"

Meanwhile, she smirked at Tahani.

"Such terrible taste."

Her opinion of you was increasing, Tahani.
