Time Management- Monday- 3rd period
"Welcome back," Jaye greeted the class, in the normal classroom today. "We're starting off with a two-part class. Well, technically a three-part class. Something like that. We're starting off this week by talking about excuses. If you want to get out of something, you need a reason they can't say no to. If you've killed your grandma four times now, your bosses or teachers are gonna know. You want something believable, something they can't poke holes in without looking like an asshole. So you're going to get to come to me with your excuses on why you need to miss class. If I don't buy it, you have to try again.
"And then you're going to figure out what your perfect day off it and hand in an explanation. And then next week, if you don't totally fail at this, you'll get it in class."
She hadn't figured out how yet but that was beside the point.

Excuses!
Re: Excuses!
It was a cranky Eleanor who approached Jaye. "I have to go take my cancer-ridden sister to a Sunglass Hut in Baltimore to meet her favorite television star, Scott Wolf," Eleanor stated bluntly. "It's part of that wake-a-fish foundation or whatever."
Re: Excuses!
"What kind of cancer dies your sister have?"
Re: Excuses!
"Knuckle cancer. She lost the tips of her fingers and now it's up to her wrists," Eleanor said doing her best to sell it.
Re: Excuses!
And then fell silent as she learned that people could get knuckle cancer.
"Well I'll be damned."
Re: Excuses!
Score.
"Yeah, so do I need to fill out a form or something or can I just ghost?" Eleanor asked.
Re: Excuses!
Or something.
Re: Excuses!
Never steered (heh) him wrong before.
Re: Excuses!
Good job, actually.
Daydream your day off
Re: Daydream your day off
It involved a water park on a hot day. It had to have the smell of chlorine in the air; teenage hormones everywhere; barf floating in the kiddie pool and Scott Wolf as the lifeguard.
What?
