"Hello, my little ducklings ♥," Shunsui was already seated and comfortable when the students came in as usual this week, with the usual drinks and a few manilla folders spread out in front of him. "Come, have a seat and take your drink and let's begin, neh ♥? Today's topic is none other than inspiration ♥! Inspiration can come from anywhere, and we all have different things that inspire us. I, for example, find most of my inspiration in beautiful women and very good sake ♥. Others might find inspiration in a sunset or, as last week proved, a stormy night ♥. The possibilities, really, are endless ♥. What inspires you, personally, to create, to write, to take the life you see around you and somehow transform that into beautiful prose ♥?"

"Let us embrace our inspirations and discuss them today, and then I will have a little inspiration exercise for us to pursue and perhaps get some wonderful writing out of our awaiting pens ♥."

Miraculously, it did not, in fact, actually involve worksheets.

The most inspired thing about the lecture is very clearly its brevity, and since there isn't a whole lot to it, the floor is open for discussion instead. Share your thoughts on what inspires you. What fills you with so much passion to create that you just want to burst unless you get it on the page? Or, conversely, what doesn't inspire you, not one bit?

It's the most blow-off topic in the world, sure, but they could at least pretend it was an actual, legitimate lesson, right?

"And as I promised ♥," said Shunsui, when the discussion had died down and he started to pick up the folders scattered in front of him, though he'd have felt 'threatened' was a more appropriate word than a promise, "I have a little activity for us ♥."

He started to pass out the folders, in two stacks, going opposite directions around the circle "Inside these folders, you'll find a variety of photographs ♥. I would like you choose one to use as your inspiration, and spend the rest of class getting something started, and for our next class, we'll share our pieces based on the photo ♥. Each folder is very different, and so who knows what you'll come up with ♥."

So pick a picture from any of the folders being passed around; there are more than enough pictures to spare, so if you're feeling particularly ambitious or inspired, feel free to do more than one, although why anyone would want to do that was beyond Shunsui's comprehension:

I woke up at two thirty in the morning today. Definitely time for the OH SO INSPIRED class about inspiration~~ lol
