Storytelling and Song, Tuesday
Jaskier was prepared for his first class, lute strapped to his back and a well worn notebook in hand. "Welcome, welcome... a little more intimate of a class than I thought it would be, but I can work with that," he said, powering on through. "We'll be learning the very important skill of turning history into a story that people will actually remember."
Note how he didn't say it would be an accurate record, just a catchy one.
"I am Jaskier and I have a bard for many years now, having traveled here and there and, unfortunately here again. How about you introduce yourselves and we can see if any talent lies within you for this?"
Otherwise this was just going to be a struggle. Or at least a project to work on. Either of those two.

Introduce Yourself
Re: Introduce Yourself
"I'm Astrid," she offered, "and my talents don't really land anywhere near storytelling unless it's with a picture, and I probably couldn't even carry a tune with a bucket..."
Which was modest, sure, but she was also not exactly about to turn toward any stellar career as a songstress any time soon, either.
"I do like history, though?" she offered, with a note of hopefulness in her voice, like it could be one saving grace.

Re: Introduce Yourself
She might need to take several.
....oh boy.
And yet, once she took those few moments, she found that all she could say was, "I have actually inspired a few poems before."
Sure, they were incredibly embarrassing and written by her mother about her being a baby and her growing up, but that didn't negate the fact that it was true, even if that was definitely not what this guy was talking about.
And a very strange part of her was a little curious what he'd have to say about that information, too.

Re: Introduce Yourself
....and that is where all of this fell apart, and thent here was the fact that now he was a student with his own students, and well...
...at least the class wasn't first thing in the morning, there was that at least.
Still, he figured he might as well make the best of it, putting on a beaming smile and figuring he wouldn't be outdone by a guy with a lute and
I assumepuffy pants."Shunsui Kyōraku ♥!" he offered, brightly, with a sweeping bow that made the most of his flowing pink haori. "Captain of the Eighth Division of the Gotei 13, world-reknown poet and novelist, great love of wine, women, and song, as well as owner of Turtle & Canary and instructor in the ways of pacifism and creative writing ♥!"
You know, he almost made it sound like he actually did stuff around here.
That's how good he was.
"And very excited to see what new things I might learn in this class, of course ♥."
He might just have to remember to drink first before hand.
...which would not be a problem.
Re: Introduce Yourself
"Another poet, how lovely!" They were going to either get very drunk or become arch-rivals. It was a thing.
Re: Introduce Yourself
Her sister would be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in her early 20's, after all. Surely Tahani had some of that talent, too! "I enjoy painting, singing, playing the piano and the guitar, and helped Mel B choreograph Wannabe."

Re: Introduce Yourself
"Oh. Oh! I LIKE THIS." He was shouting because there were headphones on and what was vocal modulation?
Re: Introduce Yourself
She'd turn him into a Robbie Williams groupie, just wait.
Re: Introduce Yourself
"What is this again?" He asked, pointing to the super advanced discman. Not that she said what it was in the first place, but whatever.
Re: Introduce Yourself
"This is a Discman," she said. "They play CD's while you're out for a walk. You don't have one?"
Re: Introduce Yourself
Re: Introduce Yourself
So close, Tahani.
Re: Introduce Yourself
"And just where would I get one of my own?" No, he needed a goddamn Spotify account. Don't listen to her, Jaskier. Don't you do it.
Re: Introduce Yourself
Swing and a miss, Tahani.
Re: Introduce Yourself
"I'll be certain to find that next," he assured her. "As soon as this class is over even."
No, he'd get sidetracked by free alcohol.
Re: Introduce Yourself
"There must be some sort of shopping around here," Tahani said. "It can't be all stairs."
