The good weather continued throughout the day, making it very comfortable to be out on the lawn. Who would want to miss such a nice picnic?

Tisarwat had to laugh at Nina's greeting; that ringing voice echoing in the hallways of the dorms was definitely something she was already missing in the quiet of the apartment.
"Hey, Nina," she said. "And I don't know about that. I'll have to get permission from my roommate, considering it's her apartment."
She did not see Breq having an issue with this.
But she would absolutely have to redecorate, because she would rather be thrown out an airlock than have a party in the bare and spartan state of the place right now. It was all very functional, of course, but it was very clear that Breq was not someone who cared much for luxury or even aesthetics.
