Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

The good weather continued throughout the day, making it very comfortable to be out on the lawn. Who would want to miss such a nice picnic?

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"Maybe a little," Karolina replied with a gentle smile. "But, it's also kind amy job to spot the newbies?"

She'd made it her job, anyway.

"I'm Karolina, I'm a counselor at the school."

"A counselor?" Elli asked, confused. "It aid us in choosing our classes or something?"

She flushed.

"Oh, I'm sorry! I'm Elli. It's nice to meet you!"

"Hi, Elli, it's nice to meet you too," Karolina replied with a nod and a chuckle. "And, I..."

Her head tilted a little as she looked for a decent explanation. "Basically I try to help students with anything they need help with? Sometimes that could be choosing classes, yeah. Or other school stuff, but also just life stuff."

"Like life stuff like... explaining what Thai food is to people?" she suggested.

Elli had no idea. Just that apparently it was good when you were going through a breakup.

"... Like that, yeah," Karolina allowed on another little laugh, after a surprised beat. "Though in that case, I think the best I could do is tell you where to find Taste of Thai so you could try it for yourself."

Her eyebrows bounced.

"Ooh! Which is a great segue to this," she continued, reaching into the basket on her arm, "which is that I have a little welcome gift for you."

She pulled out a small, glittery gift bag, which she held out to Elli. Inside it were a map of the island, another of where all the classrooms were located in the school, a vegan chocolate bar, and a handwritten little card with Karolina's contact info on it.

"Oh, goodness," she said, once she'd taken the bag and peeked inside of it. "This is so wonderfully kind of you! Thank you so much!"

"You're welcome!" Karolina replied, kind of beaming, yes. "If there's anything you need, like, especially while you're getting settled, please don't hesitate to get in touch. That's kinda exactly what I'm here for."
