Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

The good weather continued throughout the day, making it very comfortable to be out on the lawn. Who would want to miss such a nice picnic?

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"Hi," Alara managed to stammer back, not hiding the awkwardness very well, "thank you," she smiled.

It was kind of adorable.

"I'm Karolina," she said, with a quick gesture at her name tag that... said the same thing. And also what she was about to follow that up with. "I'm the guidance counselor at this school."

"Alara," she introduced herself, "what does a guidance counselor do?" she asked, not familiar with the position.

"Nice to meet you, Alara," Karolina replied, smiling. "I'm basically here to help students with whatever they need help with. Could be classes, could be general, like, life stuff. Basically, if there's a problem, I'll do what I can to help."

She actually did that in her life in general.

"And today, I'm just welcoming you to the school and the island. In fact --"

She pulled a small, glittery gift bag out of her basket, then held it out to Alara. Inside it were a map of the island, another of where all the classrooms were located in the school, a vegan chocolate bar, and a handwritten little card with Karolina's contact info.

"This is for you."
