Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Other places might have been expecting a cold front wtf polar vortex, but the weather in Fandom was just right for welcoming in new people. The bonfire was mostly going for decoration, but there were also the makings for s'mores among the food offerings.

Mmmm, summer food.

The food was ready, the tables and chairs had been spread across the lawn with just the right amount of glitter on them, and everything was ready to welcome a new batch of folks to the island!

[OCD is coming! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"Oh good," she said, "because, like, that would make radio really weird if I called everyone their full names and titles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Nina. Nina, you'd once done radio by describing everyone's actions as the titles of romance novels. This was nothing.

"Can I, like, ask you a question about the new guy at the station????????????????"

"Um, like, what do you think his stance is on what most people would call pranking and others might call............. vandalism????????????????"

And not at all because of what she'd done to the bus. Really!

"Well," Liam said. "It's hard to say for sure, since I've only had about two conversations with him myself, but one would hope that the answer to that depends on whether your target considers it pranking or vandalism."

A beat. "Unless you're planning on pranking and/or vandalizing something of his. And then I can unequivocally say that I would not recommend it."

Danny seemed like the sort of person who was allergic to fun. Which was saying a lot coming from the guy who was relatively new to experiencing fun.

Danny would just love being in a dollhouse, right? Because Nina could figure that out.

"But, like, I was thinking more like............ I don't know, Bus Dean's relationship with the bus is a little.............."

He was angry when they did it but, like, he didn't even bother punishing her any more!

"Somewhere in-between?????????????????"

"I mean, like, I'm not worried about Bus Dean's reaction to what we pulled off," yes, 'we', because Prompto had been involved in everything but the putting the lights on the bus, "so I guess I'll just see what happens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Did you want to see what we did?????????????????????"

Which had been Liam's point, essentially; if Anakin wasn't concerned enough to file any sort of formal complaint, Danny had no reason to go after her for it!

"Of course," he grinned.

Unless he caught her in the act! But that was a problem for next semester's Nina.

"Okay, so like, video is really the only way to go with this," she said, getting her phone out. "You've got to hear this in action for the full impact!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Of the bus pulling up, having been turned into a literal litebright, and absolutely pulsing in time to the music that was blaring. Flags and streamers adorned the insides, where glitter bombs had been set off.

Honestly, the biggest problem at this rate was continuing to top their past ideas.

"Even more impressive." Liam's face generally didn't do the non-scowly thing all that much (it wasn't on purpose, he just kind of had resting bitch face), but Nina's, errr, creative endeavors were pretty good at working a smile out of him.

"Don't suppose you got any footage of his reaction?"

It was an absolutely amazing explosion of swearing in Huttese by Anakin as he stomped up to the bus.

"I also, like, got a voicemail from him that was basically a human keysmash?????????????????????"
