Computer Science and Repair- Tuesday- 2nd period

Welcome to the last day in the Danger Shop! Which was bare today.

"Morning," Kitty greeted the class. "Last week I warned you that your final is going to be to program the Danger Shop yourself, so hopefully in the time since then you've figured out what you wanted to do. Hopefully you've learned something here, or at least had fun. So now you're going to take turns and set up your simulation, and we're going to see how you did!"

Oh, Prompto so had this. He'd already programmed stuff for the Danger Shop, on the sly and for another one of his classes, so that part was a cinch. And as for what to program? That was a no-brainer, too, especially considering who else was in this class with him.

And so it was no small amount of pride that he bounced into action to get his program all booted up and running. With a dramatic sweep of Prompto's arm, the Danger Shop slowly materialized into an exact replica of his Salutations Feline online farm.

"Welcome!" he announced, beaming like a proud papa, though whether it was the replica or the original farm itself he was more proud of, it was hard to tell. "To the best online kitty farm ever! Feel free to poke around and do stuff; I've set it up so you can do everything you can in the original game, but, like, please don't ruin my crops, although you totally could. Meanwhile, me? I think I'mma gonna go craft myself some super cute new jeans!"

Because the fashion crafting? Kiiiiiind of his favorite. Especially since he may have expanded the options considerably for this sim.

Damn. He loved the Danger Shop.

Well, Tisarwat wasn't even going to try to reach the level of interactiveness Prompto had put into his simulation, especially when she'd really only had all of this class period to prepare. But she felt she did a very good job of accomplishing what she set out to do, and that was to recreate the gardens on Atheok Station, back before they were ruined, before everything went down, back when she just had fond memories of their beauty and being enchanted by them...and by Basnaaid Elming, who took care of those gardens, and who told Tisarwat about them endlessly as they took their forbidden walks among the bright blossoms and over the bridges that passed over flowing waters of the ponds.

Her memory may have made the flowers a bit brighter, and she'd stocked the ponds with all sorts of brilliant, shimmering fish, but it also felt somehow smaller, despite all the tiers and paths she'd programmed in. And, of course, it all sat in its carefully designed, carefully cultivated glory underneath the thick glass dome that separated station from space, and all the stars as best as Tisarwat could remember.

And one spaceship, Mercy of Kalr, a detail she was particularly proud of including that maybe tugged at her chest a little bit with homesickness.

But it was also nice to see it again.

Even if parts of the garden did glitch occasionally. But she felt she did a pretty good job for having just this period to do it!

Well, this was a little awkward. At least, Tisarwat was definitely still new enough that it felt more awkward than it probably really was, but she hadn't been there last week (apparently!), or the week before, for that matter, and so she was definitely still feeling like she'd gone out into space without a tether right now.

She figured it would be best to just straightforward about it, since this was Fandom, and for all she knew, stuff like this happened all the time, so she went to just talk to the teacher about it instead of just trying to wing it like she knew what was going on.

"Hi," she said. "So, um, I don't really have anything planned or prepared for this. I've kind of been stuck in a pocket dimension in the school's lockers for the past two weeks."

There was a pause.

"Apparently."

It really, really took some adjusting, especially for someone who was still sort of adjusting to having had an entire thousands-year-old consciousness forced into her brain and then violently ripped out again.

If it weren't for the locker situation and her persistent migraine, Tisarwat was pretty sure she could figure it out and put something together even without the instructions, especially considering the technology and the general accessibility of the Danger Shop as a whole. But she'd be lying if she said that the offer of instructions wasn't an incredible relief that would make the job much, much easier.

So the relief in her smile was moderately genuine. "I think so," she said. "I should be able to come up with at least something."

If she set the expectations pretty low, she wouldn't have to worry about trying to be too impressive or even good right now, since she was definitely not functioning at her best.

Tisarwat took the tablet and considered it, her eyes skimming quickly over the instructions. Creativity was never really her strong suit, but she was already getting the seed of an idea inside of her very crowded, very throbbing head.

And it was not the weird little dimension she'd just forced her way out of, but rather the one dimension she wished she could have gone to, instead.

"Thank you," she said, nodding to Kitty, with a small smile of gratitude. "I think I've already got something in mind."
