All of the books were children's books.

And they were behaving like them, too.

Lana sighed, facepalmed, and resigned herself to wrangling them today.

"All right, everybody!" she said in a stern voice. "Story time. Who wants to be read first?"

Rosa's smirk sharpened.

"Stupid moose-boy."

Well, technically, it was stupid elk boy, but, come on, she was seven. Give her a break.

Lana laughed. "Very impressive. Right. So, those books should be over here, so long as they're not running around the place." She headed for the correct shelf.

"...running around?" she asked. "Like, for real?"

This, coming from the girl who was genuinely convinced Duke might be part-moose.

A small flock of books ran by, flapping their pages frantically.

"For real," Lana said dryly.
