Phys Ed, Thursday, Period Two

There was only one teacher in the Danger Shop today, which was set up to be a pretty accurate replica of the lanes at Fast Eddie's. Because of course the actual bowling alley had been closed when he went to try and arrange for class to be held there.

"Hey, all," Liam greeted, once everyone had arrived. "Verity apologizes for not being here today, but something came up on the mainland, so," he shrugged. Truth be told, he couldn't help but feel he should've gone with her, but that probably wasn't fair to the students to cancel class, so here he was.

(Would he change his mind about that "not fair" thing once he found out what the Danger Shop had in mind for today? Oh, probably.)

"I thought we'd try bowling today," he said, gesturing to the lanes. "So go ahead and pick out a ball and we'll get started with an overview of the rules."

Y'wanna know what? At this point, Wayne was wondering if there even was a point to picking out a ball, because, at this point, he was feeling pretty sure it wasn't going to be much use for whatever they wound up doing, which was particularleh bewildering to him right now because, if they wanted to go bowling, why the fuck are you going to sit there and make a replica of the actual bowling alley in town, the Danger Shop that kept goin' all wonky every week, when you could have just gone to the bowling alley in town?

So he'd go ahead and pick out a ball, sure, okay, but you'd better believe Wayne was doing so with a slightly suspicious squint toward his teacher today, because that seemed like a pretty good solution to all their apparent Danger Shop woes, and now he was thinking maybe all their apparent surprise and frustration with these glitches weren't really all that genuine after all.

There was a bowling alley in town! They made the shop look like it! And now, in probably a few minutes, they were going to be doing fuck all except bowling!

Spare. Fucking. Parts, bud.

(Or maybe Wayne was just a little disappointed to not actually be bowling today; well, sure, they might still be, but not fuckin' likeleh!).
