Bad Ass Bitch Survival Guide; Friday, First Period [11/01].

At the start of class, Rosa was sitting behind the desk, her feet up, picking at her nails. She had a pretty good feeling what was going to happen with the class, but, hey, who knew? A lot could happen between the hours of the middle of the night and the start of the actual class.

"Alright," she said, once it was time to get going, looking over the gathered students, "I'm assuming one of you, at least, managed to secure the hatchet, and if not, then...I'm very disappointed in you, you all fail."

No, no, they didn't.

"So, after our Best Bad Ass Bitch reveals herself, we're going to mostly spend the rest of the class with a nice highlight reel I put together this morning of all the hijinx from the security cams I put up basically everywhere in those hallways. Hope none of you did anything too embarrassing, but, hey, I brought popcorn. And, if you want, we can even discuss where everyone went totally wrong and what to improve on for next time."

Who didn't love a movie day, right? Especially when the movie was themselves.

Before they get to the good stuff, now would be a good time for the person who did wind up with the hatchet to step forward and claim her victory (she knows who she is). And for the others to react to said victory, if they see fit.

Lana stepped forward with the hatchet, but she wasn't passing it over just yet.

"I have this." She showed Rosa the text to prove it was the right one. "But the other instructor offered a reward for it. What do I get if I give it to you?"

Aww. That was almost kind of cute.

"Nothing," said Rosa, looking at Lana and the hatchet before shrugging. "It's over now. The goal wasn't to get the hatchet back to me in the end, the goal was for one of you guys to claim it for yourselves to prove you were the Bad Ass Bitch. So, congrats. You can keep it. You can give it back. You can throw into the ocean or fork it over to Crocker for whatever lame reward he's offering, but it's not going to make a difference because that's it."

But there was sort of a thoughtful pause, and Rosa moved her legs from the desk, leaning forward, folding her arms in front of her as she her look went speculative.

"I am kind of curious about what you could still get out of him for it, though."

Would he realize that it was basically worthless to her now? And if not, just how much would he be willing to give for something he thought he could lord over her? The heist may be officially over, but the intrigue remained...

Lana nodded. "And I should get whatever I can out of it, after all."

"A lot better than just throwing it in the ocean, anyway," Rosa noted, considering Lana a moment more before nodding herself. "I think you know what you need to do."

"Finish watching my classmates make fools of themselves, then see what I can bargain for?" Lana asked.

"Exactly." Rosa may have allowed a faint smirk just then, and leaned back in her chair. "I'll be in my office later if you want to report how it goes. Good luck. I hope you get something good."

And, aw, she even meant it, too.

"I'll try to do you proud," Lana said. And she meant it, too!

Who doesn't want to see Eleanor desperately wrestling with a carpet? Or Trevor, too, for that matter, while Tisarwat just riffled through the office while he suffered?

There was something very pointed about Rosa including the footage of Duke putting a sign up in his office. But there was also Mae's whole rampage through Verity's office for everyone to enjoy, someone not even in this class bumping into walls, and then two OTHER people not even in this class going through pretty much everything until someone from this class actually DID show up?

Among other things! Because this would also be a good opportunity to perhaps moddingly mention any particularly embarrassing or proud moments of your own that might have shown up on the footage that you may not have had the chance to necessarily play out.

Mae was just going to cheer and laugh through this whole thing. Especially her rampage.

Bravado was a great cover for deep, all-but-crippling self-doubt!

Lana grinned at Mae. "You seem to have had a lot of fun, anyway."

"Well sure. What's the point of doing things if you don't have fun?"

To learn? But that was fun, too...

"I suppose you have a point."

Honestly, half of what Mae did she had no good reason for at all.

"Did you have fun winning?"

"A little," Lana said.

"Only a little?" Mae pointed to the screen. "Clearly you should have gone for the room with the gremlin, then."

Lana laughed. "I probably should have!" She pondered it. "You think we could set something up like that for fun, just to test ourselves? Probably minus the actual gremlin."

She'd never thought of courses like that as being fun before, but honestly, that looked it.

"Dude. You know the danger shop? I totally know where you can find two of those out in town."

"Really?" Lana perked up. "That sounds useful."

"I don't know, probably? It's really nice to be able to go there and smash things when I feel like it, anyway."

Lana grinned. "Like I said - useful."

"You like smashing things, too? I don't have nearly enough smashy friends around here. "

"Well, more slicing things and tossing them around, but sometimes it's good to work up anger and let it out."

"Oh dude! Do you have anger issues, too? Does your therapist make you keep a journal?"

"No?" Lana was a bit confused. "I don't have a therapist. Why would they want you to keep a journal?"

“I don’t know, to ‘externalize my thoughts’ and ‘have a healthy outlet’ or whatever.”

"Wouldn't beating on things be a more effective outlet?" Lana asked. "Not that writing can't be good."

“Beating on things is what got me in trouble in the first place? So I guess not.”

"You must have been beating on the wrong things," Lana said.

“Um. Yeah. I definitely was.”

"Now I'm curious," Lana said. "What were you beating on?"

“A kid?” Mae shrugged, looking at her feet. “He almost died.”

"And that's bad in your world?" Lana asked, checking. "Or was it just the wrong kid?"

There was definitely plenty of ~~oh so handwavey~~ footage of Tisarwat's frequent but uncessucessful scouring of various offices, though none of them quite as incriminating (not even the rug one) as the undeniable proof that she'd eaten something with her hands (although, of course, still with her gloves; she'd had a lapse of judgement, not civility) after getting glitterbombed in Karoline's office and then, with some sort of resignation, helped herself to one of those mini cupcakes.

Yes, she understood they could have been laced or poisoned, but she had been covered in glitter and they honestly looked tempting enough to risk it.

Either way, once the final video of where the hatchet had been was revealed, she couldn't help looking a little devistated because she had absolutely ~~albeit handwavey~~ been in there and just missed it on account of having heard a noise (even over the holorecording) and booked it to avoid being caught without thinking to come back later.

Still, if anyone got it, she was glad it had been Lana.

She's trying not to cling to her coffee too much. She probably didn't even go to sleep after the party, just went straight into putting together this footage.

The sacrifices she made...

My computer crashed halfway through me posting this. WTF, computer?

At least it didn't do it halfway through posting radio x_x
