Phys Ed, Thursday, Period Two

The subject of today's class? Horseback riding!

In the Danger Shop, with simulated horses, rather than making use of the ones in the stable in town, because, you know. Liability reasons, apparently. Sure, the school regularly held classes where students went on trips to other realities, but horseback riding was where the office wanted everyone to sign a waiver.

Still, it wasn't like Liam and Verity had any idea of the competency level of any of their students, after all, and so an artificial environment with safety controls probably wasn't a bad idea.

Surely that little glitch from last time was just a glitch, and wouldn't repeat itself, right?

"Welcome back to Phys Ed," Verity said when everyone had arrived. "Once again, sorry about last week. But as you can see, we've got the Danger Shop working properly today," she leveled a glare towards the machinery, hidden behind the stable, but everything remained the way they'd programmed it. "So today we're going to practice horseback riding. Does anyone here have horseback riding experience?"

"For those of you that would like a bit more of a challenge, we've set up a course with some jumps," Liam added. Because these were Fandom High students, chances absolutely were that they'd want a challenge.

They walked the class through how to properly saddle a horse, as well as mount and dismount, and then led the group outside of the stable to demonstrate walks, trots, and canters. True to their word, there was a portion of the simulated field set up with fences of varying heights if anyone wanted to try some jumps at a gallop.

...and there it was.

Of course there couldn't have been a nice, normal horseride for one of his classes. Of course, he had to be there galloping across the field on an honest-to-God unicorn now.

Which meant, eventually, he had to slow the unicorn down and pull out his phone, holding it up awkwardly in an attempt to get a picture. He didn't really do the whole selfie thing, but if Katy found out he'd been riding on a unicorn and he didn't even send her pictures, he'd be in a whole load of trouble...
