Cultivation and Gardening, [6th Period]
Today, Zhaan was wearing a simple grey robe that swept the floor (covering the bunny slippers), in her hands were pruning shears. In front of her was an over-grown, bulky thing.
"At times, you will find your plant growing too bulky." Her tone was carefully crisp, "Unlike most creatures, plants do notice when they lose things like leaves and twigs. But they are, at times, the better for it. And one must, in the end, cut back on the sheer amount of plant."
Caressing one of the gnarled branches, Zhaan smiled, "This won't hurt much, my dear." She snipped it off and set it to the side, quickly dealing with several other hanging pieces that were obstructing healthy growing. Then she glanced at the class. "You must be careful how much you cut. Be wise in your decision and leave room for the plant to expand. If there are too many branches, the whole will collapse inwards unhealthily."
Setting the shears down, she reached for the small pot to the side, bringing it forward and carefully poking a finger into it. "Depending on the nature of the plant you've cut, you can then transfer the cut pieces to grow their own roots."
Two of the twigs slid in neatly and she tamped the soil gently around them. "Be certain to water them, but not too much. And, as always, ascertain how they are by listening."
Dusting her hands, she looked at the class, "I hope you all have a lovely weekend."
[Sorry for the lateness, I started dinner and got sidetracked finishing a desktop... MY UNDYING LOVE to Nick Fury of Sages of Chaos for giving me something to write about.]
