Fandom Library: Thursday

Don't ask how Eleanor ended up with this assignment. She had assumed she'd be getting paid for this but instead it was for class credit. Blergh.

Opening up the door to the library the smell of dust and pages hit her nose and immediately made her sneeze. There was a moment of stillness and then all the books in a nearby rowl fell off their shelves and fluttered around Eleanor like butterflies. Which of course immediately made her freak out.

"Shirt! They're forking alive! Get away!" she shouted and immediately began swatting them away from her. The books did not seem happy with this and sullenly flew back to their shelves.

Eleanor resumed her shuffle to the front desk where she promptly ignored any books that needed to be re-shelved and concentrated on her coffee and phone.

He was there, and probably asleep in his office.

"If I knew that, would I hire you lot to distract them?" Seriously, kid, think this through. "There's a butterfly net under the front desk. Put them in time-out or something, I don't care. Just don't damage them."

"Teach them how to do the limbo for all I care," John shrugged, lighting up a smoke. "But sure, a story works. They only know what their own pages say, they like new ones."
