The weather was warm, the food smelled good, and there was a good chance the new folks were a little extra glittery. What else could go into a perfect day for the picnic?

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"Mostly just my new sib and my new roommate," Prompto said, grinning excitedly. "Gonna be kind of weird, having a roommate again, but he seems pretty cool. His name's Grog Strongjaw," seriously, best name pretty much ever, "and he's almost as tall as Sidon, Lana, so you can't even miss him, and just think of how easy it'll be to get things on the top shelf of the closet now!"

And he was just really, really, really glad he was going to be alone this semester.

"And then," he continued, "my sib? He's on, like, the complete other end of the spectrum, and you're not going to be able to miss him, either. His name's Kuybey, and he's tiny and looks kind of like a cat, but cooler, and he's from Japan. And he's awesome. And, like, so soft, Lana. So soft."

"I'm glad you're doing well on that front." Lana was not going to ask why it mattered that his roommate was soft. To each their own. "I have a little sibling, but I haven't met them yet."

"Oh?" Prompto's head tilted. "Late comer? Or you just haven't found them yet?"

"Well, I haven't found them yet, so maybe they're a late comer? I'm not sure. At least I know my roommate, though; Nell and I aren't going anywhere."

"Well, that's good," said Prompto, who maybe had to put a little effort into getting his grin to the right amount of crookedness, kind of preferring not to think about people going elsewhere right now.

He wasn't doing a very good job with it.

"Hey," he said, grabbing onto the first other topic that floated to his head, "do you know what classes you're going to be taking yet?"

Lana nodded. "Terrain, law enforcement, ethics, self-defence, bad-ass bitch, and civics. Are you all right?"
