Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I
The island was still thankfully, blissfully normal, so fingers were crossed that the picnic would go off without a hitch.
The weather was pleasant enough - sunny, but not so hot that people would melt outside - and all the decorations had been safely pulled out of storage. There were tables and chairs set up with blue and yellow balloons, a table for all the information the new students would need, and enough food to probably feed two islands. It was time to welcome some new folks, everyone!
[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"The food that you're also eating," he pointed out. Pointedly.

Aaaaaand now Beau was going to just eye the food suspiciously, if only just because she'd have to concede he wasn't under the influence of something and therefore thought his extremely inaccurate opinion of her was actually true.

Beau rubbed a hand over her face and sighed.
"Liam. Listen. I don't have a lot of friends either, but you're absolutely one of them. And I appreciate the sentiment. Just . . . don't make me out to be more than I am, okay?"

"Just don't want you to set yourself up for disappointment. That's all."
She let everybody down eventually, she figured.

Sorry, Liam. It was going to take more than one conversation to undo years of shitty parenting.
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Fall 2019]
"I think it is," he said, firmly.
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Fall 2019]
"And I'm not going to try too hard to change your mind," she muttered. If he wanted to keep thinking that, well, it was his choice, and she wasn't about overriding other people's choices for them. "Just . . . something to consider, that's all. Okay?"
