Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

The island was still thankfully, blissfully normal, so fingers were crossed that the picnic would go off without a hitch.

The weather was pleasant enough - sunny, but not so hot that people would melt outside - and all the decorations had been safely pulled out of storage. There were tables and chairs set up with blue and yellow balloons, a table for all the information the new students would need, and enough food to probably feed two islands. It was time to welcome some new folks, everyone!

[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Duke tsked. "Can't argue with that." His description might have included the term 'bear', but hey, he didn't like to assume.

He was totally a bear. This fact was both known and embraced.

"It's smart to know your own skills and limitations, ya know?"

"That it is, my friend. That it is. For instance: one of my limitations just now is I know next to nothing about this island. Got sent up here by the harbor master pretty much first thing. Don't suppose you have any tips? Best restaurant, bar, that sort of thing?"

Food and booze were basically Duke's prime motivators these days. And money, but only in that it could buy him more food and booze.

"Well. Luke's is pretty good. And there are two bars here, but one of them has axe throwing." Guess which one Magnus liked the best.

Duke could totally picture Magnus just showing up and throwing axes somewhere.
