Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

So this week had been... less than great overall, but everyone in town was okay again (as okay as they ever were, at least) and now there were new people to welcome to the island! Thankfully, the weather was warm and sunny, perfect for anyone who wanted to take part in some shirtless shenanigans, and the front lawn of the school was all set up for yet another tasty picnic. There were tables of blank name tags, lists of information, and enough food to probably feed two Fandoms. Time to be welcoming!

[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"Like what?" asked the girl who created panther suits.

"Well, people don't seem to wear this a lot here," Sabine said, gesturing to herself. "You'll see a lot of weapons- people are responsible about them, I promise. And I think Sidon is technically naked?"

"Which one's Sid---ohh," Shuri said, nodding her head. "Fish...guy. Is that insensitive?"

"Probably, but it's also probably a pretty common first thought," Sabine admitted. "He's a good one, though. Very enthusiastic."

"I like people who are enthusiastic," Shuri said.

"Then you'll get along great. Honestly people are mostly pretty nice here. It might take a week or two for everybody to adjust to the weirdness of this place and get used to each other, but they're easy to like."

Which said a lot, coming from her.

Not that Shuri knew that.

"That's good to hear," Shuri said. "I've never traveled from home before. The trip my brother took me on to Oakland before here doesn't really count."

"And this place is definitely going to be different," Sabine told her. "There's a lot of... random insanity?"

"How random and how insane?" Shuri asked.

"Well. The island has turned me into a bird before," she said slowly, "and we once had snow monsters."

Maybe not going with 'we had vampires last week.'
