Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I
So this week had been... less than great overall, but everyone in town was okay again (as okay as they ever were, at least) and now there were new people to welcome to the island! Thankfully, the weather was warm and sunny, perfect for anyone who wanted to take part in some shirtless shenanigans, and the front lawn of the school was all set up for yet another tasty picnic. There were tables of blank name tags, lists of information, and enough food to probably feed two Fandoms. Time to be welcoming!
[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling [Summer 2019]
Hmm, maybe she'd missed a few steps in this whole welcome-speech process.
"Um. You're not from a world that has magic, are you?"
Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling [Summer 2019]
Wanye's face did that scrunching thing again, and his head turned to look off to the side somewhere, as if suddenly fascinated with a very specific branch of a tree not too far off, blinking a few times to get his thoughts properly sorted.
"Don't know much about that," he said. "But I'll tell you what's magic. Ever seen Bobby Probert throw down with Wendel Clark in the third quarter of the December 9, 1992 game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Detroit Red Wings? Fuck, any fight with Bobby Probert, realleh, I could watch that man fight all day, got real magic in those fists, and you can take that one to be bank."
So...that was probably a hard no, there, Keyleth.
Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling [Summer 2019]
But she listened, politely, to Wayne's entire (sort of) speech, occasionally nodding.
And then finally said, "Iiiiiiiii'm taking that as a no, then, since I'm still trying to make most of those words make sense."
Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling [Summer 2019]
Which might have been what you wanted to lead with as a response there, Wayne, big buddy, but he needed a moment to work it all ouwt.
Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling [Summer 2019]
She grinned. "Not that I blame you. Doggos are awesome."
Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling [Summer 2019]
Barnabas was such a good bo.
"Can confirm!"
See? Wasn't that much better than bringing magic into all this, Keyleth?
"Fuck, I love dogs. Ain't nothing better than a good doggo. 'Cept maybe a good long day of chorin' and a cold beer afterwards."

And that small, subtle, barely there intake of breath was as close to a disparaging sigh about that that Wayne was going to let himself get.
Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling [Summer 2019]
She nodded. "I always think a good puppy-cuddling session every now and then is very therapeutic, you know?"
