Creature Languages, 3/30, Period 3

Zero looked a little dismayed by the packet of information Professor Dream had left her. "Right then, as you know, Professor Dream is away, so today and Monday, I'll be running the class. And we are going to be studying...sharks. Joy. We have this DVD to watch, and these...does this say...we have these Landshark vocabulary sheets to study."

She hit 'play' on the DVD player and could be heard to mutter, "I hate sharks."

Walter grinned and checked his sheet. //Thank you. Your teeth are very white.//

There seemed to be a lot of reference to teeth in Landshark.

Victor looked over his sheet and grimaced. "I don't think so, either. Um...how about..."

//I want to scrub in the sand.//

"That was supposed to be 'I want to take a shower', but maybe that's how landsharks get clean?"

Was that an attempt at secret code? Perhaps. Or maybe Victor just felt dirty which works, too.

Victor would probably recognize that practiced blank face and slight twitch of a grin.

"Later," he mouthed and looked back at the vocabulary.

Victor snerked at that, then composed himself and tried to keep things work safe be more mature.

Walter smirked and went back to his sheet. "We should try to practice together later."

"Yeah, I think we should. Maybe tonight?"

He looked back down at the vocabulary sheet, then took out a piece of paper and started writing things down.

"Brilliant. I'll meet you later to study."

Walter started muttering to his secretary bot, reading to it from the notes. This hangman-ese thing had better go away soon.

"Sure," Victor replied, a little absently.

At last, he finished what he was writing, then set his pen down and began to read:
