Cultivation and Gardening [4th Period]
Tonight, Zhaan was wearing a pin-striped suit. The slippers were in evidence, looking quite smart themselves. Folding her hands neatly in front of her, Zhaan started her lecture.
"Some would say plants are solitary creatures. And for some species, this is certainly true." Zhaan held up a photo of a saguaro cactus, "Even with their stately grace, however, you'll note the scrub growing around them. Some of this is simply due to the cactus bringing water to the surface. It's also due simply to the nature of plants: they thrive on contact with one another."
A smile lurked around Zhaan's lips, "Some plants even have a sort of language they speak. If you listen carefully, you might hear it."
"It's difficult, for plants to be on their own. They lose a sense of community. They feel alienated and alone." Possibly, she was going a little too close to her own experience. "Luckily, plants adapt and change with their environment. Two completely different species can learn to co-exist."
Shaking the sense of connectiveness off, Zhaan smiled, "And now, I believe I requested you turn in essays."

Lectures and Answers, and hand in your assignment.

On the DVD is a recording of his plant, now named Vyvyan, hitting a ball with a six-eyed black puppy that keeps bringing the ball back to be hit again.
"It seemed to enjoy this more than being read to."

In it she talks about how she first encountered gillyweed (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/512821.html?thread=24139061#t24139061) and how several small cutting some how got caught up in her clothing. ((No really, that's what happened, really (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/512821.html?thread=24144437#t24144437).) And how she brought the cuttings in to show, after which it spent the rest of it's life in her room.
She also discusses the plants in the greenhouse, and how she set out a heat lamp over snow weekend for them, and came to water them and sing a chanty or two.
OOC.

And then it would say something nasty about her after she'd left, she'd return and burn it.
