BWI Airport Portalocity Lounge, Saturday morning
"Portalocity lounge," Mae read aloud, and heaved a sigh of relief. "Finally. First time I ever travel alone and I get lost in the stupid airport." She walked into the lounge, looked around, and hopped up onto the bench, her duffel bag tucked under her feet. There was plenty of room, since her legs were too short to reach the ground. "Of course, it's bigger than, like, all of Possum Springs put together, so I guess that can't be too surprising. Good thing Mom and Dad insisted I take the early bus."
She tapped her heels on her duffel bag and eyed the door. "And now I'm talking to myself. Good job, Mae. Perfect first impression." She made her eyes comically wide and waved to an imaginary audience. "HeY, I'M mAe, i'M TOtallY NOrmAl, niCE To MEeT yoU." She frowned and tapped her feet harder. "Good job, Killer."
Another glance around the lounge. There wasn't a lot to look at yet.
"I wish I had a video game."
[NEWBIE SHUTTLE TIME! Possibly slightly early, but I want a distraction]

Re: Trip to Fandom
Back on the island, some kids might be highly amused that one of the teachers was swearing up a blue streak in a way that actually meant something to them.
"Oh, come on," Kanan laughed. "You can't lead in with something like that and then not tell me. I'll be chasing you down for that story yet."
Honestly. He was a Jedi, but he'd had a good many trash years in between bouts of vaguely upholding balance or whatever.
Re: Trip to Fandom
She gave him a little smirk but shook her head and gestured at the kids with her chin. "Not around them. I can't make sure they won't hear it." Maybe he could. She had no idea. There were mages and shit on this island, who knew.
"Made me smile." You're welcome for that warning.

Re: Trip to Fandom
He could probably take it. She gave the students at least 50/50. Jack herself was oddly pleased to be here. Keep an eye on big dumb and squishy - both of them - and get to know the strange little island. Something new. Something new that, so far, hadn't tried to kill her.
She gave that about a week, too.
