John had tried to go back to his own, nice, cozy apartment last night.

He'd decided enough was enough after the third posse of whatevers before he made it past the school gates, turned around, went back in and slept in his office.

Which meant he was out and around again today, with his kettle shoved back into one of the new fireplaces, as he started pulling out archival boxes about prior invasions. Maybe he'd get lucky and find something useful.

Fandom High Library was open, and your grumpy librarian is in!

When she got cold, basically, Sabine decided to come here. "Don't suppose anyone's found anything out about these things yet."

"Meep meep meep meep meep," said the giant ball of snow coming into the library.

"Hey, Beaker," Sabine greeted him. "You okay there?"

"Meep meep meep meep meep meep meep meep," Beaker groused.

Because of course he had almost been eaten.

"There's an iceberg off the coast; I saw some of those creatures coming off of it," Lana said. "Maybe they're all coming from there?"

"They came here off an iceberg to yell at us?"

As soon as the word we're out of her might, Sabine actually thought that might make a sort of sense.

"Yell at us and attack us, apparently," Lana said. "So now what?"

John is grump-ing around somewhere.
