Nailed it! | Wednesday, 3rd period
"Good afternoon," Hannibal said to them all cheerfully. "Today we will be back to working with fowl, although a smaller one and a more complex - albeit somewhat less potentially catastrophic" sorry, Vette, "recipe." He brought out his own. "Duck confit with spicy pickled raisins. Confit is a worthy technique to learn - it refers to a meat cooked in its own fat. Duck being a particularly fatty fowl, we'll have quite a bit for this, so if you would like to use the remains to cook potatoes in or save for another recipe later, please do."
He waved at the dishes where he'd presented them each with a leg artfully arranged amidst the raisins. "Enjoy mine, then make your own. Please let me know if you have any questions."

Just so long as every bite had at least one of those raisins in it. Mmmmm.
Class Activity!
Re: Class Activity!
Which meant that step one, with the 'using a knife, prick the duck leg all over' part in it, was going to be done very thoroughly.
Destructive teenagers doing productive things, right?
Re: Class Activity!
Like most of the things he made. Cough.
Re: Class Activity!
Vette levelled Hannibal with a bit of a grumpy look, and then, ever so daintily, pricked the duck leg. Lightly.
...
And then waited until he wasn't looking to stab it again.
