"Welcome," Hannibal said to everyone. "Back to savory today, and to breakfast. As I imagine some of you may be preoccupied with the upcoming Parents' Weekend, I thought we would keep it fairly simple. So, today we will be making eggs benedict. A simple recipe, with a trick to it - be careful of your Hollandaise sauce."

He brought out his own and offered them around. "You will also get extra points for plating them nicely, instead of merely slopping them on the plate."

Vette was following the recipe to the letter today.

Mostly to the letter.

... She was slipping a tiny bit of the chili powder into her sauce, maybe.

But just a tiny bit, this week!

And wondering, a little, what kind of animal a canadian was, to have such weird bacon.

The kind of animal only Hannibal would eat.

He was possibly keeping a bit of an eye on Vette's chili powder usage this week.

"Thank you for keeping in mind my human tastebuds," he told her.

"I can be taught," Vette said, shooting a small smirk his way, not even remotely apologetic over what had gone on last week.

They had been really good cookies. She'd totally passed half of hers off to that weird little orange astromech to give to Hera, since it was obvious nobody else would appreciate how perfect they really were.

Hannibal had gamefully finished a bite, then gone for plenty of coffee, then come back to eat just the cookie and marshmallow bits enough to actually grade them.

"A good quality to have," he answered, giving her a small grin and shake of the head back.
