"Welcome," Hannibal said to everyone. "Back to savory today, and to breakfast. As I imagine some of you may be preoccupied with the upcoming Parents' Weekend, I thought we would keep it fairly simple. So, today we will be making eggs benedict. A simple recipe, with a trick to it - be careful of your Hollandaise sauce."

He brought out his own and offered them around. "You will also get extra points for plating them nicely, instead of merely slopping them on the plate."

Vette was never going to get used to the weird colors of Earth's food. But the taste? She couldn't argue with that.

She idly wondered as she ate if Dr. Lecter would mind terribly if she were to spice up the eggs, too...

Well, this sure as hell beat granola and yogurt for breakfast, Prompto thought, as he dug into a sample and mulled it over as he tasted it. And tried to not be too eager as he went in for subsequent tastes, because, yeah, way better than the granola and yogurt he'd had for breakfast.

Vette was following the recipe to the letter today.

Mostly to the letter.

... She was slipping a tiny bit of the chili powder into her sauce, maybe.

But just a tiny bit, this week!

And wondering, a little, what kind of animal a canadian was, to have such weird bacon.

He was possibly keeping a bit of an eye on Vette's chili powder usage this week.

"I can be taught," Vette said, shooting a small smirk his way, not even remotely apologetic over what had gone on last week.

They had been really good cookies. She'd totally passed half of hers off to that weird little orange astromech to give to Hera, since it was obvious nobody else would appreciate how perfect they really were.

Hannibal had gamefully finished a bite, then gone for plenty of coffee, then come back to eat just the cookie and marshmallow bits enough to actually grade them.

"A good quality to have," he answered, giving her a small grin and shake of the head back.

To show that he could listen and learn, Prompto was being extra careful to take his time today and not rush through the steps too excitedly.

But then there was the bottle.

"Worsess-- Worchest--- worchester-- worseessershire sauce."

It was a funny word, okay? But Prompto shrugged and tried a little bit on his finger before bobbing his head in approval and getting back to the sauce, which, as he read over the instructions again, seemed very....involved? So he was really going to have to buckle down and concentrate.
