Creature Languages, 3/27, Period 3

Dream appears preoccupied as he hands a quiz to each student upon their entrance to class.

The quiz is ten questions on Raven and Parseltongue, mostly translations.

When most of the quizzes are in, he starts a video.

Chat. Watch the video. It is probably not wise to bother the professor.

Halfway watching the movie, Blair fiddles with a bright red envelope and tries to take notes.

Victor handed Blair a note. If he chose to read it, it said:

Blair-

I've been having some problems lately, and I was wondering if you could teach me some stuff on either meditation or relaxing. I'm trying to learn ways to not get so stressed out anymore. Thanks!

Blair looked at the note and then scribbled and tossed the note back to Victor.

No problem, man, I'd be happy to help. Just let me know a good time for you and we can sit down and talk over some options.

Victor gave Blair a smile and a thumbs up, then returned to making notes about the movie.

Oh, look. Molly is sitting near Blair.

After handing in her quiz, she gives him a relieved grin.

Oh, look. Blair is happy about that.

Molly beamed at Blair as she accepted the envelope and wriggled excitedly in her her seat as she opened it.

When she read it, she burst out laughing before she could stop herself. She quickly stifled the laughter and smiled back at Blair before leaning over to whisper, "thank you," to him.

Blair grinned and whispered back, "You're welcome" before turning his attention to the movie and hoping Professor Dream wasn't going paying close attention.

Jake looks like he's really regretting not bringing a thermos of coffee into class.

Oddly enough? Xander has one. Goes with this whole 'Drink more coffee' kick he's been on recently. He eyes Jake, grins, and offers it.

Jake might not go "yay!" really loud and disrupt class, but he really wants to. He reaches out, hopeful.

~~Xander slides the thermos away! HA!~~

Xander hands it over. "Just hazelnut with cream and sugar; the mochaccinos really don't seem to thermosify well."

"Dude, hazelnut's my favorite anyhow." Jake grabs the thermos and sips coffee blissfully. There might be happy little noises.

Xander watches for a second, then says, "Is Krycek, like...aware that he's competing with the java and... probably losing?"

Jake snickered and lowered the thermos. "If he's not by now, I don't think he's been paying attention." He arched an eyebrow at Xander. "And, hey, can't drink him in class. There would be objections."

Xander blinked. And...blinked. And finally grinned faintly. "There might be some trauma, yeah."

Jake grinned back. "Also, Mr. Dream would probably never go for it. So coffee it is! Yummy too," he added and looked very reluctant to hand it back.

Xander eyed the thermos. "Dude? Take it. .... Annnnnd possibly wash it in some hygienic manner. I'm just sayin'."

Jake clutched it happily. "Thanks! 'S good coffee, this. Sure you don't want it back?"

"I could never share with it what you've shared with it. You've clearly ruined it for all other relationships."

Okay, sharks and dolphins are just cool. ~~Even if they don't have frickin' lasers attached to their heads.~~ Xander watches with interest. Though he's probably distractable if you want to talk to him.

Zero spent half of the video hiding her eyes and peeping through her fingers. Did she mention she's deathly afraid of sharks?

Pippi thinks she recognizes one of the sharks.

Watching the video, Stark decides sharks have far too many teeth for their own good.

He really likes the whales though, and thinks the dolphins are cute.
