There was a giant stage in the middle of the park today. Are you worried, people whose names were about to be called?
Good.
"Today, inspired by the public service announcements you see in PE class," Anakin began, "you lucky chosen ones will get to write and perform an informational puppet show with sock puppets you create yourselves! Since you were so good at the instruments last week."
They were not that good at the instruments last week.
"You will be paired up and then spin the wheel of topics--" he waved his hand helpfully at a giant wheel in front of the stage, "and then perform before all of us. The second most impressive skit--by whatever metric I choose to use to measure that--wins the fish."
He waved his hand and the fish, now resplendent in a steampunk top hat and jetpack, flew into his hand, still warbling the Beastie Boys. He winced slightly. "Maybe by the time you pick it up, it will have stopped singing 'I'm a Little Teapot' directly into your brain."
He didn't sound that optimistic.
Good.

"Well, usually they come with a lot of rain. And flooding," Sparkle explained. "Because if the island is throwing sharks around, of course there'll be flooding."
Re: Listen for your partner's name and spiiiiiiin youuuuur topic
And smiled; small, but bloodthirsty.
"So...next time that happens, you suggest we get a rowboat and a harpoon gun?"
Re: Listen for your partner's name and spiiiiiiin youuuuur topic
Sparkle blinked at that smile. And then barked out a little laugh.
"You know where to find one, I mean, shit, it'll be more effective than the sticker gun I armed myself with it at work."
Re: Listen for your partner's name and spiiiiiiin youuuuur topic
...Not that she was planning any such thing, mind.
Re: Listen for your partner's name and spiiiiiiin youuuuur topic
Sparkle tilted his head thoughtfully.
"So... the game plan," he said carefully, "in case of more shark rain... is to rob a pirate?"
...
...
"Well, I like it!"
Re: Listen for your partner's name and spiiiiiiin youuuuur topic
"You know anybody else with a boat?" she asked.
Re: Listen for your partner's name and spiiiiiiin youuuuur topic
Sparkle considered that question for a few moments.
"Few ships, no boats," he replied, shrugging. "Pirate it is!"
This was a great plan that would in no way go poorly.
Re: Listen for your partner's name and spiiiiiiin youuuuur topic
"Okay, so how do we turn this into a puppet show?"
Re: Listen for your partner's name and spiiiiiiin youuuuur topic
"Well," Sparkle mused, "I think we need a few puppets. A shark, at least one. A pirate, someone to steal from the pirate... maybe a second shark?"

At least they both had sewing skills.
Re: Listen for your partner's name and spiiiiiiin youuuuur topic
"Easy," Sparkle agreed, nodding and going to rummage through socks for a good grey pair. "I think we've got a plan, here."
For one character, anyway.

"Cardboard cutouts on popsicle sticks?"
When in doubt, popsicle sticks.
Re: Listen for your partner's name and spiiiiiiin youuuuur topic
Awww, lookit her getting into this. NEVER TELL A SOUL, SPARKLE.
Re: Listen for your partner's name and spiiiiiiin youuuuur topic
"Niiiice," Sparkle said appreciatively. "You wanna pick what colour, or should we give it two masts and each pick one?"
Re: Listen for your partner's name and spiiiiiiin youuuuur topic
Look, she had a color theme here. She also had several answers about what colors went best with it because, again, color theme.

"... Man, did I ever get into the wrong career," Sparkle mused.
Re: Listen for your partner's name and spiiiiiiin youuuuur topic
"I'm always lookin' for new crew members," she said. "You have any useful pirate skills?"
Re: Listen for your partner's name and spiiiiiiin youuuuur topic
Sparkle laughed and shook his head.
"Nah," he replied. "I make pretty clothes."
And picked locks, stole things on the regular, was getting really handy with a knife...
Re: Listen for your partner's name and spiiiiiiin youuuuur topic
"Well, in that case, we'll just have to come visit while in port to see what pretty, fashionable things you've made between voyages."
Re: Listen for your partner's name and spiiiiiiin youuuuur topic
Really, after so many years of Fandom, Sparkle would probably be a stellar pirate.
"I take requests," he laughed. "I think I could probably manage something fit for a pirate."
