Peridot, as always, was utterly oblivious about any sort of holiday that might be going on today.
So, when the books attempted to set off fireworks in the history section, mostly she was just irritated that they were apparently trying to start a fire in a library. She wound up sitting on the culprits to keep them from setting fire to the fuse, like the spoilsport she was.
If anybody needed Peridot today, that's where she'd be, wrestling books in order to keep the whole damn library from burning down.
