Library, Monday
It was July, and about a million degrees outside, so while Tip would rather be in her room sprawled out on her bed so no parts of her body touched other parts, she was reasonably content to be in the library instead, watching the books try to organize a beach reading display to replace the June Pride one.
They'd originally wanted to go with a ra-ra independence display, but Tip had put a bit of damper on that by pointing out books about slavery and the wholesale slaughter of native populations. Apparently the books were more interested in putting together something cheerful than something honest.
"You guys know there's a difference between 'beach read' and 'middle aged mom books', right?" she asked, as the fifth romance about a woman relearning how to love life, herself, and men (not usually in that order) climbed the book pyramid. "You all really don't know your audience, do you?"
Huh. Apparently books could blow raspberries. Who knew?
