Driver's Ed, March 24th, Periods 1-2

Today, the Shop is set up to look like a busy city street.

"Today, guys, you're going to practice driving in an environment that has a little more in the way of distractions. Also, now that you have a little bit of driving experience, we're going to start learning to park properly.

I want you to attempt parallel parking, parking on a hill, and backing in to a parking space."

Zero attempted parallel parking. There was a crunch.

"Um, you're supposed to leave a note when that happens, right?"

Tommy facepalmed.

"What? I can pay for that! Or...I could if that was a real car."

Parking on a hill and backing into a space go more smoothly.

"It's probably for the best that it isn't," Tommy says, resigned.

Privately, Zero wonders whatever happened to circling until you found a better parking place. Out loud, she says, "Sorry?"

"Don't worry about it. I'm sure all you need is practice."

Well, one can hope.
