Paintball! Peridot had a new favorite obsession that would probably only last the day, and that obsession was paintball! And so, still covered in rainbow-splattered paint by the end of the paintball match, she'd made her way to the library and immediately began investigating just what made paintball weapons work.

And then she set to work using her research to start drawing up plans for the strongest, most potentially lethal paintball weapon the Earth had ever known.

... It was possible she was at least slightly missing the point.
