Library, Monday

As Tip reshelved books today, she noticed that several of them had new, translucent dust jackets on them. Most of them were rainbow patterned, but several had pink stripes or were blue, pink, and white. There were probably a dozen or more other patterns scattered throughout, some only showing up once or twice.

She grabbed a few of the newly covered books that caught her eye, bringing them back to the circulation desk to read when she was done cleaning up the shelves. She picked up one with both the rainbow and a grey-scale-with-purple pattern first, and soon found herself thoroughly engrossed.

Romance that mostly amounted to cuddling. She could totally get behind that. . . .

"Very true," Sidon agreed with enthusiasm. "I must admit, I would be very distraught indeed should any of those happen to you, and you have my utmost assurance that, in the case of a fall, should there be a failure on the part of your robot bestie," here, he placed a hand over his heart and bowed his head in an attempt to show that no offense was meant toward said robot bestie, "I would certainly try to catch you and prevent such a fate."

It probably wouldn't do much good at that point, but, hey, it was the thought that counted, right?

"However," he continued, "I did not just come to speak of rock climbing and the like. I have come in search of some information, and I trust that you, my good friend, will be able to direct me to where I might find tomes regarding various games and how to play them?"

"And there's nothing wrong with that! A little fear of something can help prevent you from leaping into something potentially dangerous," said He Who Should Really Listen To His Own Damn Advice.

Then smiling, he asked, "Do you recall, a couple of weeks ago in Kanan Jarrus's class, we visited a cantina through the Danger Shop, where we were expected to throw off some Stormtroopers in search of suspicious characters such as ourselves? Well, I rather foolishly decided to throw myself into a game of sabacc, thinking it might be a good way to keep myself hidden among the locals. But alas! This attempted ruse proved only to be my downfall, as my abysmal lack of knowledge for such an apparently popular pastime made me a prime target for the suspicious questioning of the dutiful soldier who ventured to my table. My intrigue, however, has been quite captured, and while I suspect I may never need to use experience in such a game to the same benefit, it would not hurt to learn, as it seemed a great deal of fun. And, besides..."

Here he chuckled a little, "I would feel quite embarrassed indeed should I be bested by not knowing sabacc twice in my lifetime! I actually discovered a set of sabacc cards for sale at Turtle & Canary when I was there to stock up on my weekly supply of fish sticks, and now I am just curious if the library might be able to provide some resources to enlighten my learning and offer some useful tips to improve my aptitude."

Sabacc. You could have just said I need a book on sabacc, Sidon, but nooooooo....

"Wonderful!" Sidon laughed, though, really, he expected no less. He did throw in a particularly sharp grin, though. "I don't suppose," he ventured, "there happens to be one in Hylian or Zora, is there?"

That he doubted. But he also knew it never hurt to ask.
