Flight and Flying, Tuesday, May 31st
"Today we're going to ride on speeder bikes, which are like motorcycles, except that they can go up to 400 kilometers an hour and can fly, and are therefore much, much better," Anakin said. He pointed to the right hand simulation. "This one has been set up for target practice if you are comfortable with such an exercise. In this simulation, you will find yourself on a forest moon. In the left hand one, you're in a planet-wide city that makes the worst Los Angeles traffic look like a day at the beach."
He smiled. "Try not to crash and die."
Very helpful, Anakin.

Re: Fly in the forest [advanced]
This would go well.
Re: Fly in the forest [advanced]
Yang quickly yanked her hair into a low ponytail to keep it out of Peebee's face, and revved the engine. "Hold on to your crests!" she hollered cheerfully, and the bike was peeling away from the pack and right into the heart of the forest, following the targets in case Peebee wanted to do some target practice.
Re: Fly in the forest [advanced]
"So how fast is this thing supposed to go," she yelled, "and how much faster than that can it really go?"
Important questions here!
Re: Fly in the forest [advanced]
"We're gonna find out!" And Yang stepped on the gas, putting the peddle to the (metaphorical) floor.
Why try things in degrees, when you have a sim where you can do stupid-ass shit at will?
Re: Fly in the forest [advanced]
"Go go go go go!" She fired off a quick shot at a target as they passed, not seeming to care whether she actually hit it.
Re: Fly in the forest [advanced]
Yang spun them into some tight figure-eights through the trees, narrowly zipping through some large boulders in a stream, and skipping them along a rocky outcropping. "OH MY GOD, I WANT ONE!" she yelled over the roar of the engine and the wind. "--AND I WANT TO TAKE IT APART AND MAKE IT FASTER."
She did all the work on her own bike, after all.
Re: Fly in the forest [advanced]
"LET'S DO IT," she yelled back, which for the record took a lot of effort to make even a little bit audible. "HOW HARD CAN IT REALLY BE?"
No, Peebee.
