You are handed an invitation that says "culturally appropriate semi-formal holiday attire" for a party that begins in 30 minutes and are shoved into a closet full of clothing. What do you come out wearing and why?

No, it doesn't mention which holiday.

Ahsoka was dressed for a fight, because she'd been Anakin's Padawan.

She also grabbed an over-robe, because she'd been Anakin's Padawan.

Why, but of course Sidon came out of the closet in but a mere fifteen minutes, just enough time to switch out his current cravat with a newer, lacier, slightly fancier one. Everything else, from his ceremonial sash to his jewelry were already there, since he wore the same thing every day.

There were quite some benefits when your culture appropriately wore hardly anything!

Yang had ditched her short-shorts and leathers for black boots, black pants, a very nice orange sheer-ish (and low-cut) silk shirt and a crisp trendy blazer that ended at her elbows. Around her wrists were the same chunky gold statement bracelets she always wore, with an additional one or two red ones.

Yes, the gold bracelets were her weapons. Yes, the red ones had extra ammunition in them. Yang wasn't stupid

Kaylin comes out wearing the dark brown tunic and pants that she went in with, hair loosely knotted up and held with a random twig - just like it was when she went in.

You have to thank your host! Unfortunately, you have absolutely no idea what they look like. In no fewer than five conversations, find out who your host is and thank them--and tell us who you talked to to discover their identity.

Ahhh, yes! Now here is where Sidon felt he could really shine! It helped that he loved interacting with people and he was an excellent conversationalist, if he did say so himself.

Nor was he ever shy about starting a conversation in the first place, and quite...noticeably as well.

"My goodness," he enthused to the nearest person who might appear amicable to mingling. "What a splendid event! My sincerest compliments to the host; I must say, I am quite grateful to have been invited to experience such a wonderful gathering of charming individuals!"

Said, of course, with a flash of a grin to suggest that the person he was talking to was very clearly at the top of the charming individuals category.

It had to happen sometime, because let's face it, this is how 80 percent of Anakin's diplomacy ended up. Three masked beings have crashed the party and are taking hostages, demanding to speak to your boss. What do you do?!

Sidon held up his hands to show he was not armed and meant no harm, though he had taken stock of what was nearby that could make a quick weapon in a pinch, if need be. Hopefully, though, there would be no need.

"Let us all take a moment," he said in a carefully measured tone, "to consider our options. My boss was unable to attend the festivities tonight, but I am here in his stead. Perhaps I may be of assistance to you by proxy? I assure you, he has bestowed upon me all the authority and privilege he might typically hold in such an occasion."

"Sure, that's fair," Yang said amiably, gesturing for them to follow her, the cut of her suit making it clear that there was no way she was hiding weapons in her jacket. "I'm just here for tonight, this is above my paycheck."

Was she going to lead them straight to Anakin if he was around? Yes. If he wasn't, well, she'd be punching the leader in the FACE the moment they were out of immediate civilian range. Because the only boss Yang had was violence.

Oh, yeah, this was familiar.

Ahsoka dramatically dropped her over robe (that being the entire reason she'd worn it to begin with), and started flinging the three about with the Force and maybe a bit less care than she'd use when dealing with real people.

And now do a presentation without boring your audience to tears about what you learned at your reception!

It's what he lives for!

Okay, maybe not but he's here.

"Well, that was completely unexpected," Ahsoka said dryly.

How is it only Wednesday.
