Don't Do the Thing: Decision Making For Dummies [Tues, 3rd Period]

Aphra looked like she was doing a quick headcount as the class arrived today.

"Great, looks like none of you joined a cult to get over your teenage heartbreak!" Apparently she had been concerned about that. Because reasons.

"Which brings us to today's class, how to recognise when you're being sold a line, because anyone who tries to sell you on the idea that they have all the answers wants something from you, and if you're lucky it's just the contents of your wallet. But instead of just expecting you to trust me on that, we’ll just watch a demonstration holo."

Well, to be honest, Peebee was really going to spend the movie wondering if people really did join cults to get over adolescent heartbreak. Like was that a human thing? Ugh, see, this was why she felt extra justified in her strict No Attachments stance.

The animated movie was all well and good, but there was something that was just still bothering Yang about Aphra's lecture.

"Is that, like, actually a Thing people do?" Yang, asked out loud. "The cult thing, I mean."

Oh Yang. Wait until you meet Adam.

"This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen," Uma said, not bothering to keep her voice down.

Uma, your crew leapt into a song and choreographed dance number at your command, based around your name. You have no room to talk.
