Friendship and Stabbing: an Adventurer's Guide, Thursday
There was an obstacle course set up for the class today. Because nothing taught team-building quite like blatantly copying something Magnus went through on a corporate retreat and promptly disregarded.
"Okay, so you all have gear. Or not. Maybe you left them at home, I can't make those choices for you," Magnus said, frowning because people who didn't bring their entire inventory everywhere with them were weird.
"Hopefully you at least brought something today, because it might be your hardest yet." Mainly because it involved trust. Look, Cara had issues there.
...don't make him get punched trying to hug you, Cara.
"So, the idea is that you all work together as a team to get through this without leaving a man, elf, or dwarf behind. But you can probably leave a bard behind if you wanted to." He was pretty sure none of the kids were bards.
If they were, they should have been reconsidering their life choices. "So it's probably not a good idea to try singing encouragement."
"Unless it heals or buffs. Only then," Magnus added. "So, uh... good luck and we'll see you at the end of the road." Your teachers would def be at the end, drinking fancy drinks and enjoying the show.
"You'll need it." Clearly Cara was only being ominous because of that trust thing. Yep.

The Course - The Floor Is Lava
Literally lava because Magnus thought that was more fun and Cara was Cara.
The Course - Wall Climb
There are several crates, each with a harness apparatus that could be easily described as "belt handcuffs."
You must choose partners to climb.
The Course - Trust Falls
Here, the class must work, as a team, to catch each classmate.
However, once a classmate falls, a hatch opens up in the wall to display a beautiful ruby.
The Course - Constructive Criticism
The Course - The Final Challenge
Whaaaaat do you dooooooo?

"I could cast a spell on you that would make it far less painful if you were to fall, if that would help?" he offered.
Re: The Course - The Floor Is Lava
She lightly dashed along the planks, sometimes leapign from peg to peg.
Re: The Course - Wall Climb
Don't ask how she knew that, just don't ask.
Re: The Course - Trust Falls
Ahsoka let herself fall.
Re: The Course - Wall Climb
"You--You would?" she asked, stumbling.
Re: The Course - Trust Falls
Did Peebee care if it was?
Re: The Course - Trust Falls
At least Ahsoka was used to being telekinetically caught, even if it usually wasn't so glowy.

"Sure," she said. "And if it works, I guess I can help you over the wall. That's the stuff I'm used to. Spells are kind of...newer."
Her hand unconsciously went to her mother's seashell necklace hanging at her throat.
Re: The Course - The Floor Is Lava
However, armor, ineffective as it was, was kind of a hindrance in an obstacle course, and Summer started to doubt her decisions.
Luckily, a childhood of fake The Floor is Lava was proving useful even against real The Floor is Lava, as well as paying very close attention and a lot of encouraging words from her helm.
Re: The Course - Wall Climb
That should tell pretty succinctly what Summer thought of the wall climb.
But at least it wasn't a rope climb.
Re: The Course - Wall Climb
He took a step back and cast Slow Fall on himself, creating a light golden aura around himself. "See, totally safe. I wouldn't do anything dangerous to another student - especially not in this class, it might give them ideas," he said, motioning to Magnus and Cara.
Re: The Course - Wall Climb
"That's a good point," she said with a nod. "They don't need the help. You make it so I don't get hurt if I fall, and I'll show you how to climb it."
