Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

Over on this part of the school lawn... yeah, it was still chilly. Stupid winter, doing its winter thing. But there were plenty of chairs and tables for people watching, feasting on warm foods and drinks, and generally attempting to meet the new folks!

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

No, but it was a lot cuter than anything Summer would have thought of.

"Ohmygod," she said. "That's perfect! Please, you have to come now. She's not, like, spooked by other loud noises, is she? Because if not, that's going to be so cute, I might barf."

"I'm pretty certain she just sees loud noises as a challenge," Peridot laughed. "Pumpkin is a very brave little pumpkin, after all."

A pause.

"And a hero."

She was never going to let go of the epic saga of Pumpkin helping to save the day, no. Ever.

Summer tilted her head, looking down at Pumpkin with a little appreciative smirk before quirking an eyebrow at Peridot.

"What's the story there?"

See, someone had spent that entire weekend in a horrible, horrible Klingon bloodwine hangover, so....

"Oh, Pumpkin only charged bravely into the maw of certain doom in order to participate in a ceremony to send an eldritch terror back into the abyss from whence it came," Peridot totally bragged. "And came out the victor! No eldritches here!"

Peridot had no idea what 'eldritch' meant.

Summer had no idea what Peridot was talking about, but she was more than happy to just go with it.

"Is that so, Pumpkin? Did you save everyone from the big scary eldritch horror? Well, then, I think maybe Pumpkin needs to be our guest of honor! For, without her, there might not have been a 2018 at all, right?"

And as such, should totally have been the guest of honor to every event ever, everywhere.
