"Good afternoon," Rita said smoothly. "Today, please just share with the class what you did for homework. Handwavey is fine, omg."

She spared a glance towards one particular student. "Mr. Skywalker, you're obviously excused. Welcome back."

Wow. That almost looked like a genuine smile Rita was sporting, didn't it?

"Thank you. Um. Obviously I'm looking for ways to get rid of these extra arms. Is there any chance you could remove them magically?" Peter asked.

He wasn't expecting much, but it was worth a shot. And if he asked after class, there wasn't an audience to turn him into an animal in front of. Therefore, the egomaniac probably wouldn't do anything magical to hurt him. He hoped.

"I could," she said slowly.
