She spared a glance towards one particular student. "Mr. Skywalker, you're obviously excused. Welcome back."

Wow. That almost looked like a genuine smile Rita was sporting, didn't it?

Anakin blinked at Peter and Peter's many new appendages.

It wasn't like he didn't know beings with six arms, but they weren't normally something that developed during adolescence.

"I've missed a lot," he muttered.

Rita tried some more not to laugh.

"All right. What is it, Mr. Parker?"

"Thank you. Um. Obviously I'm looking for ways to get rid of these extra arms. Is there any chance you could remove them magically?" Peter asked.

He wasn't expecting much, but it was worth a shot. And if he asked after class, there wasn't an audience to turn him into an animal in front of. Therefore, the egomaniac probably wouldn't do anything magical to hurt him. He hoped.
