Try Not to Die, Tuesday, June 13, 2017

"Today we're going to New Zealand," Anakin said, "even though I haven't figured out where Old Zealand is just yet."

He pointed to the map. "New Zealand is located down here, near Australia where not everything will kill you, but not from lack of trying."

Oh, Merrill was actually pretty good at things that called for attention to detail, like looking for intricate patterns!

Sure, she got a little bit distracted by her fascination with the tattoos and wondering what they might have in common with vallaslin, but she did really well with this particular roadblock.

It wasn't that Khadgar lacked an eye for detail. It was that he was far too interested in watching the haka to stare at their faces.

It was possible he didn't see a lot of point in rushing and being first in this class.

Fascinating. Kaylin wanted to learn this next! Still, after a brief distraction she got back on track and easily matched the face tattoo.

It wasn't that Ahsoka didn't have practice picking out individual tattoo patterns on human males who looked and sounded a lot like these.

It was having practice doing exactly that that made this roadblock far more stressful than it should have been.

Thanks a lot, Anakin.

Hyacinthe was far more interested in...err, appreciating Maori culture than finding the correct tattoo. It was only when their haka was drawing to an end that he remembered to even look.
