Arts & Crafts, Wednesday - 2nd Period

You know what happened this week, class? Your teacher actually showed up. Try to contain your shock over this.

Seriously. Contain that shit.

"Oh right, this is still a thing I'm doing," he said after sauntering on into class with a daiquiri. "So, we've still got a shit load of glitter and I got some beads--"

Did he need to chuck them at the class? Not really.

"Show me some Mardi Gras realness because apparently I was a few months late to it last week. Which is bullshit. I wanted some straight up debauchery, but noooo. Just humidity and day drinking. Such a rip off."

And that seemed to be it for the 'lesson' today as Deadpool hunkered down to finish his drink.

You heard the man. Make this shit Mardi Gras.

"I'm pretty sure some 'Mardi Gras realness' would not be appropriate for school," Summer murmured, disgruntled. She had only meant to think that part, but it came out of her mouth anyway. But whatever, glitter and beads, she could work with. And she did.

"You'd be wrong because have you seen this school?"

And, for some reason, he was now laying on the desk. Yep. Thank you, random icon.

What even was that pose? What was he trying to insinuate?

"Uh, yeah," said Summer, sarcasm on full throttle, "I have, and it's still inappropriate. But, hey, if you want to argue, I'd love to hear it. Me, and my big ass laser gun."

Which she now pulled out, locked and loaded and ready to go. Because bringing a laser to class was apparently a thing she did now.

Ahsoka had this Mardi Gras thing handled, whatever it was.

Glitter.

All the glitter.

Peridot was going to do so much more side-eyeing of people before the day was through.

What was a Mardi Gras? What did beads have to do with anything? Why, humans, why?

"... um, what's Mardi Gras... realness?"

Ringo looked more than a little confused.

"If I have to explain it, you're clearly in the wrong class!"

Wow, thanks for that, Deadpool.

Ringo blinked.

"But I thought I was signed up for this class?" Why hadn't he told her earlier?

Deadpool had to pause at that and try to figure out if this was real ditziness or just affected ditziness. But it didn't really matter either way.

"I'm going to count to ten. And when I get to ten, you better have some Mardi Gras realness there."

"Are you going to tell me what it is before you count?" Ringo asked, looking doubtfully at Deadpool.

She still wasn't totally used to him as a teacher, but she suspected the answer was no. Unless he thought it'd be funny to do something different and actually teach something.

"Where's the fun in that?"

A teacher actually teaching? You came to the wrong classroom for that one.

"Um, you might actually get some, uh, Mardi Gras realness?" That might be fun?

Oh, like that really mattered to him. "One..."

"If I just cover these beads in glitter, will that work?" That wast mostly what Ringo felt like she was learning from this class: cover things in glitter.

He brought his TA a shot glass from Bourbon Street. It was gross.

So gross.

His TA wasn't that impressed with him to begin with.

"Where have you been for two weeks?"

Although she ended up asking that in slightly more confused a manner than she'd intended to. She'd been going for annoyed.

"New Orleans." He had no shame. None. "Did you screw up my careful lesson plans?"

Xanthippe... smiled.

Uh, what?

"Of course I didn't."

"...why are you smiling? Is this a joke? Are you joking about that?"

There was a pause as he looked sad.

"Oh god, it's happening to me now!"

Xanthippe rolled her eyes. Totally distracting herself from having smiled just now by trying to understand how a person with a mask on could manage to look sad.

"Whatever, you don't even have lesson plans."

"Yes we do, it's called glitter." The best lesson plan you could have.

I spilled my oatmeal on my desk.
